Nice Colors, good Scaling. These programmers are good craftsmen. It’s rare nowadays.

A good newspaper is like a serious escort in life
  • Great content, nice presentation

I decided to subscribe a year ago. The news coverage of the U.S. under Trump is fantastic, and as this guy’s whims affect the rest of the world so much, I really wanted to support free journalism by subscribing. The app is great. I had trouble with crashes on IOS 10 a while back, but in the current version, they no longer occur. The visual presentation is really nice, and I like this app better than the Washington Post Classic app, as it is more suited to international readers and iPad users. However, I would really like to get more coverage of European news, and the biggest German headlines. Unfortunately, I have not yet found an offer from a German newspaper that is half as good, or less than three times as expensive. Whenever the Post *does* cover Germany, they do it really well.

I am on IOS 9 and the app only commands to update. Nothing else is possible. So the app has become totally unusable.
  • Great content, but the Terms & Conditions could be better

I love the in-depth reporting of WaPo and gladly pay for the fine journalism. The app works great on PC and Ipad. However, I am not a fan of auto-renewal and debiting the credit card without giving me any notice. That practice irks me no matter who does it.
  • Why did they remove look up / dictionary funtion???

Voluntarily removing a very appreciated function is incomprehensible. Except for this crucial flaw, I really like this app.
  • No Dictionary or Look Up Anymore

Please bring the Look Up / Dictionary function back!
  • Excellent content. Sadly app is lacking in many respects

Content is excellent, trustworthy. App design is not. Navigation, layout and colors are less than optimal, to put it mildly. I usually bypass the app entirely and go through a browser. NYT app is much better in terms of navigation, etc. (even though the political content is lacking, to put it mildly)
  • Great News-App

Great News-App, thank you for that! We also don't forget the history of Washington Post. And yes, the first thing that impressed me too was the design. What I don't really dig is the line about democracy before loading the news. I would like to know the history behind this :)
  • Just like it.
